I just had purchased some bit power compression fittings from another shop had a order so I'd save on shipping.
When I compared the two I was shocked that bit power just drills a 7/16 hole to about the g1/4 threads start, then they leave a shoulder and drill a 3/8 hole.
The tfc fitting starts a little larger than 7/16 then taper it to the 3/8 size. I know that this is not a big thing but any decrease in turbulence within the fitting should help especially if you have 10 or so in your water cooling loop.
Also i checked the bit power barbs and they are also tapered.
all are 1/2 fittings
