This is Project Cobalt, my entry to the Alphacool Case mod competition. Cobalt is very much a build, but the amount of physical modifications required to make this even remotely possible far exceeds any showcase project I’ve ever done. Is it a “Case Mod”? Maybe not in the eyes of a competition, or the followers who only want to see the insane shit I’ve done in the past…. But to me, this is what case modding has always been about. I took 2 massive Alphacool UT60x420 radiators and put them into compartments that were never designed to fit them. I then decided to front mount a PSU in a space that in all reality was never designed to fit the orientation requiring modifications for mounting and power delivery. The Alphacool Core Fan/Rgb splitter made cable management a breeze, and allowed all my lighting to be controlled from a single header instead of multi-zone often found with running daisy chains.
